Job Opportunity

The Church of England seeks a highly skilled individual to lead the safeguarding effort across the Diocese.

This crucial role involves overseeing safeguarding policy, procedures, and practice, requiring extensive experience in safeguarding children, young people, and adults, as well as an understanding of safeguarding within a church context.

To be successful, the candidate must possess strong leadership skills, the ability to continuously strengthen safeguarding practice, and a passion for this vital work.

Salary: £6,000 per annum (pro rata), paid at £500 per full day attending the Diocesan Office or the Cathedral.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding best practices and legislation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective safeguarding across the Diocese.
