At Remedy Social Work, we are seeking a highly skilled Child Protection Conferences Chair to lead our safeguarding efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work and experience in chairing Child Protection Conferences.

Job Description

The role of the Child Protection Conferences Chair is to provide leadership and guidance on the development and implementation of Child Protection Plans for children who are at risk of harm. This includes:

  • Chairing Child Protection Conferences to ensure that all parties are heard and that the best possible plan is developed for the child.
  • Quality assuring the progress of the Child Protection Plan and the quality of safeguarding practice with children and families.
  • Reviewing the progress and impact of the CP plan for a child at key points between conferences.
  • Undertaking reviews of children looked after where needed.
  • Undertaking practice evaluations/audits of practice to identify learning and practice improvement.
  • Challenging and raising alerts on behalf of children to ensure positive outcomes for children.

We are offering a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including professional development opportunities and a supportive team environment.
