About this role
As a Court Usher with HM Courts and Tribunals Service, you will be an essential point of contact for all court users. Your strong customer focus and service skills will enable you to provide efficient support to the judiciary, administrative staff, and members of the public.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires adaptability and professionalism. You will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the court, handling various tasks including data entry, post handling, and administration.
We are looking for someone who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information, and demonstrate empathy when interacting with vulnerable individuals.

Key responsibilities
- Providing information and assistance to court users, including members of the public, judiciary, and legal professionals.
- Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of documentation, including data entry and record-keeping.
- Handling post, packages, and other mailings, as well as maintaining stationery supplies.
- Supporting the judiciary and administrative staff with administrative tasks, such as filing and photocopying.
- Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the courtrooms and surrounding areas.
- Operating office and court equipment, including computers, scanners, and photocopiers.
