Youth Justice Specialist

Youth Justice Practitioner Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Youth Justice Practitioner to join our team at Spencer Clarke Group, working within the Youth, Children's Centres, Early Help & Targeted Youth Support Services.
The position will involve managing a caseload of young people who have been referred by the Police or ordered by the court, ensuring a holistic assessment of need supports a robust intervention.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with children, young people, and families with a range of needs and risks related to offending behaviour, ensuring factors against desistance are addressed and factors for desistance are promoted.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of young people referred by the Police or ordered by the court.
- Conduct holistic assessments of need to inform robust interventions.
- Work with children, young people, and families with needs and risks related to offending behaviour.
- Attend Youth Court and act as a court officer, including occasional court duties.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with children, young people, and families with offending behaviour.
- Ability to work restoratively with all children, young people, and victims of crime.
- Effective management of a caseload in accordance with local policies and Youth Justice National Standards.
- Local Authority or Public Sector experience.
