About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Senior Stroke Therapist in our Acute Care Service.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, specialist care to patients with complex needs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care pathways.

The ideal candidate will have extensive post-graduate experience in stroke care, with a proven track record of improving patient outcomes and leading clinical initiatives. You will be passionate about delivering evidence-based practice and committed to ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assess, plan, and deliver individualised therapy programmes for patients with complex stroke needs.
  • To lead clinical audits and participate in research initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
  • To supervise and mentor junior staff members, promoting best practice and supporting their professional development.
  • To contribute to the development of specialist services and relevant policies, ensuring they are aligned with national guidelines and standards.

Person Specification

Essential

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Evidence of extensive post-graduate experience in stroke care

Desirable

  • Post-graduate qualification in stroke care or a related field
  • Experience of teaching and mentoring junior staff members
