About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Therapist/Clinical Nurse Specialist in Eating Disorders to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of our new Intensive Support Pathway within the SET CAMHS Eating Disorder Service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the operational manager to lead on the Intensive Support Pathway, offering line supervision and supporting the development of our new day programme within the service.
  • Undertake a range of highly specialist clinical work, including leading on group interventions and offering senior care reviews and reformulation of cases.
  • Work alongside external agencies to support the ongoing care provisions of young people.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice (psychologist, or family therapist).
  • Eligibility for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, ACP, AFT, NMC).
  • Extensive experience of working with difficult, disturbed, or challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions.
  • Extensive experience of working therapeutically with parents/carers/families of children and young people in crisis with complex mental health problems.
  • Knowledge of research methodology and outcome research design and ability to critically interpret research findings.

About Us

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, which will include mandatory training, systems training, and the allocation of equipment.
