About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Operations Team as a Rail Operations Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in rail operations, working closely with our team to deliver industry-leading services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Operations Team in delivering industry groups and forums, including the management of key external communications and project activity.
  • Undertake placements within train operators and Network Rail to develop rail operations knowledge and competencies.
  • Provide support to RDG Members on the production of industry guidance and/or generic procedures.
  • Work alongside other RDG departments and industry stakeholders responding to industry consultations.
  • Assist RDG Partners in the preparation and organization of member groups and forums.
Requirements
  • Qualifications equivalent to degree level or have equivalent experience.
  • Affiliate membership of the Institution of Railway Operators.
  • Proficient in use of Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, working knowledge of Excel.
  • An engaging verbal and written communicator.
  • Able to assimilate and summarise large amounts of information in a short time period.
