Mental Health Crisis Intervention Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Crisis Resolution Team Member to join our team at Southdown.
About the Role
This is a 5-day service that operates 7 days a week, including bank holidays. As a Crisis Resolution Team Member, you will provide psychosocial support and crisis interventions to increase resilience and coping skills in individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide brief interventions to help individuals safely deescalate and manage their emotional distress in the short term.
- Support individuals to identify their needs and connect with local NHS and community support services to aid in their recovery journey.
- Work autonomously and as part of a team to provide crisis interventions and psychosocial support.
- Collaborate with the Staying Well management team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
About You
We are looking for an individual with experience of working with people with mental health needs, a good understanding of local NHS and community support services, and the ability to demonstrate a high level of resilience.
