About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Recovery Specialist to join our team at Southdown. As a Recovery Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing mental health crises to manage their wellbeing within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide brief interventions to help individuals safely deescalate and manage their emotional distress
  • Support individuals to identify their needs and connect with local NHS/Community support services
  • Work autonomously and demonstrate a high level of resilience

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with individuals with mental health needs
  • Good understanding of local NHS/Community support services
  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate a high level of resilience

Working Arrangements:

This role will involve working until 11pm at night and will include weekend working on a rotational basis. You will be based at our St Leonards Wellbeing Centre in Hastings and will be supported by the Staying Well management team.

Training and Development:

Full training and induction will be given to ensure you have the skills and knowledge required to excel in this role.
