The Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment (CRHT) Hastings.
This vacancy has arisen due to a voluntary resignation, providing an opportunity to enhance the functioning of the team. As part of our commitment to developing better provision and capacity for Hastings CRHT, we are looking for an experienced professional to work closely with other Consultant Psychiatrists in the inpatient wards and Mental Health Liaison Team.
Your role will involve providing intensive and responsive crisis resolution and home treatment to adults aged 18 and over with a functional mental health problem. This includes ensuring individuals receive treatment in the least restrictive way that aligns with their clinical and safety needs.
On appointment, you will have the chance to connect with our trust-wide consultant network and access peer support from colleagues in East Sussex. Additionally, you will be eligible for a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, along with up to £8,000 relocation allowance.
This recruitment incentive is paid out in instalments: £5,000 upon appointment, £5,000 at the 12-month employment anniversary, £6,500 at the 30-month mark, and £8,500 at the 48-month milestone. For part-time employees, the payment is pro-rata.
To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent knowledge in your specialty and outstanding oral and written communication skills in English. A wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience within the NHS or comparable services would be desirable.
In exchange for your expertise, you can expect a competitive salary, estimated to be around £90,000-£100,000 per annum, based on the UK's national average for Consultant Psychiatrists. This amount may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.
