**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will be responsible for utilizing evidence-based positive behavioral supports to enrich the lives of people we serve. You will create healthy and safe environments, teach and model prosocial replacement skills, and assist with decision-making skills.

**Responsibilities:**
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement behavior support plans in conjunction with the Program Planning Team.
  • Maintain accurate behavioral data and complete paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Provide training and guidance to direct care staff on behavioral health supports.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Directors of Behavioral Health Services to review cases and receive assignments.
  • Assist with crisis intervention as needed, and attend psychiatric appointments for clients.
  • Participate in screening and intake meetings for program and residential vacancies.


**Requirements:**
  • A Master's degree in a clinical or treatment field in Psychology, Social Work, School Psychology, or Applied Psychology.
  • National Board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA) and a Master's degree in behavior analysis or a related field.
  • A NYS license in Mental Health Counseling.
  • A valid NYS Driver's License at the time of hire.


**Estimated Salary:** $62,800 - $68,300 per year

**Benefits:** This position is benefit eligible and offers generous time off.
