About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Residential Home Manager to join our team at Affinity Care Recruitment. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our residential care home, ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the care home, including staff supervision and management.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our residents.
  • Ensure that our residents receive high-quality care and support, promoting their physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being.
  • Manage the care home's budget, ensuring that we are financially viable and compliant with all relevant regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies, including healthcare professionals and local authorities.
  • Ensure that our staff are trained and equipped to provide the highest standard of care and support.
  • Participate in service user reviews and ensure that their needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain links with other professionals and external agencies to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care and support.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial role, preferably in a care setting.
  • Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and challenging behavior.
  • Qualification equivalent to at least NVQ Level 3 in a relevant area (management or care).
  • Understanding of the needs of people with a learning disability and challenging behavior.
  • Understanding of ordinary life principles and up-to-date relevant policy documentation/White Papers.
  • Ability to work outside normal hours and be flexible to meet the needs of the care home.
  • Current driving license.
