Residential Care Home ManagerAbout the Role
As a Residential Care Home Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our 13-bed home. You will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where service users can thrive. Your leadership and expertise will ensure that our residents receive exceptional care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of dedicated care staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each service user.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Foster positive relationships with service users, families, and external professionals.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the home.
- Proven experience in managing a residential care setting, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
- A strong understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviors.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
- A relevant qualification equivalent to at least NVQ Level 3 in a related field (management or care).
- Experience of managing budgets and resources effectively.
- Registered Manager's Award or Leadership and Management in Care Services qualification (or working towards it).
