About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Residential Home Manager to join our team at Affinity Care Recruitment. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our residential care home, ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the care home, including staff supervision and management
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our residents
  • Ensure that our residents receive high-quality care and support, promoting their physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being
  • Manage the care home's budget and resources, ensuring that we are financially viable and compliant with all relevant regulations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies, including healthcare professionals and local authorities
  • Ensure that our residents have access to a range of activities and opportunities, promoting their independence and quality of life
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring that we are compliant with all relevant regulations
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management role, preferably in a care or residential setting
  • Qualification equivalent to at least NVQ Level 3 in a relevant area (management or care)
  • Understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities and challenging behavior
  • Understanding of ordinary life principles and up-to-date relevant policy documentation/White Papers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources, ensuring that we are financially viable and compliant with all relevant regulations
Desirable
  • Experience of managing an effective team
  • Track record of managing budgets
  • Registered Manager's Award or Leadership and Management in Care Services (or working towards this)
Additional Requirements
  • Available to work outside normal hours of work where required
  • Flexible enough to work overtime where required
  • Available to work in other homes where required
  • Hold a current driving license
