About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Manager to join our team at Colmore Education Recruitment. As a Data Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the school's administrative and academic functions by providing valuable data insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage School Data Systems: Oversee the daily management and maintenance of the school's Management Information System (MIS) to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Data Integrity and Security: Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of all student and school data, maintaining compliance with GDPR and other data protection regulations.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Prepare, analyse, and interpret data reports to support senior leadership in decision-making, providing valuable insights to drive school improvement.
  • Statutory Returns: Manage the collection, input, and processing of data for statutory returns (e.g., School Census), ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Staff Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on data systems and usage, ensuring they have the necessary skills to effectively use data to inform their work.
  • Data-Driven Strategies: Work closely with school leadership to develop data-driven strategies for school improvement, using data to inform decision-making and drive positive change.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Management Information Systems (e.g., SIMS, Arbor, etc.) and proficiency in using Excel and other data management tools.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, students, and external stakeholders.
