Support Role

We are seeking a Patient Support Liaison to work within our Macmillan cancer information & support centre in North Cumbria.

The salary for this role is £19,500 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of people affected by cancer and gain valuable experience working in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide support and information to patients, family, friends, carers and staff at the Macmillan cancer information & support centre.
  • To maintain good standards of communication with patients, staff, and the public.
  • To comply with the Trust's Health & Safety Policy and other policies.
  • To attend essential training deemed by the Trust.
About Our Centre

The Macmillan cancer information & support centre is a warm and welcoming space where people can come for support and information. We have a team of experienced staff and volunteers who provide a range of services including one-to-one support, group sessions and information resources.

As a Patient Support Liaison, you will be part of this dedicated team and play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care and support. This is a rewarding role that requires excellent communication skills, empathy and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
