Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Injury Claims Handler to join our team. As a key member of our claims handling team, you will be responsible for negotiating the settlement of claims in accordance with policy wording and Claims Handling Manual.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with pre and post litigation procedures to conclude cases effectively and economically.
  • Validate claims and verify all details against our records.
  • Identify and refer questionable underwriting practices.
  • Establish the circumstances of any loss and make appropriate liability enquiries.
  • Validate accounts and fee notes, and authorize payments.
  • Maintain accurate estimates throughout the life of a claim and make adjustments as necessary.

Requirements

  • A solid legal education is essential for this role.
  • Experience working in a legal environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills are required.
  • Highly articulate and numerate, with a focus on delivering first-class customer service.
  • Very organized, with an innate ability to prioritize and deliver results.
