Rhinoceros Conservation Manager Role

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Rhinoceros Conservation Manager at Chester Zoo. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and management of eastern black rhinoceros, Greater one horned rhinos, and other associated species.

Your key responsibilities will include ensuring high standards of animal husbandry, care, and welfare, as well as collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement conservation strategies for the species.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective conservation plans for the rhinoceros species.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of animal care and welfare.
  • Assist with animal training and handling programs under the guidance of experienced staff.

This role offers a competitive salary of approximately £26,702 per annum, along with 33 days of annual leave and a range of benefits. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the conservation efforts of Chester Zoo and make a significant impact on the recovery of endangered species.
