Chester, United Kingdom Chester Zoo Full time

As a leading international conservation charity, Chester Zoo uses the funds it generates to help prevent extinction both in the UK and in five key regions across the world.

We’re looking for someone to lead the fundraising team, raising vital income to power our conservation work.

As Fundraising Lead, you’ll manage a team of 3 and drive a variety of different areas of fundraising from major donors through to patrons, legacies, grants and individual fundraising. As part of our upcoming rebrand, you’ll have the opportunity to reimagine how we raise money through our 2 million annual visitors to our 128 acre zoo, to build and stage our annual 10k run, to develop our annual gala and to build our new development board.

The role offers flexible working as well as some days remote working each week. When you’re in the office with the team, you’ll be right in the heart of the zoo so you can experience everything it has to offer.

For this 12 month contract, we’re looking for someone with good experience in managing a team, in driving relationships with major donors, in events, in managing grants across a range of trusts and foundations and in individual giving.
