Job Description

This role involves:

  • Influencing decision-makers and driving change for the benefit of young people and conservation.
  • Boosting personal development through training, skills development, and mentoring opportunities.
  • Representing young people's voices at events and meetings with policymakers and press.
  • Nurturing a network of like-minded individuals passionate about conservation and youth empowerment.

Responsibilities include attending 6 Youth Board meetings annually, additional committee and project meetings, and representing Chester Zoo at events.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Be aged 18-26 years old when starting your position.
  • Show enthusiasm for working with BIAZA to develop new programs for young people.
  • Have a genuine interest in areas such as events, conservation, retail, marketing, education, science, animal care, or fundraising.
  • Be able to travel easily to BIAZA headquarters.
  • Commit to attending meetings and participating in the program for a minimum of two years.
