Senior Conservation Position

We are seeking a Senior Conservation Specialist to join our team at Chester Zoo. As part of our professional team, you will take responsibility for leading on the promotion of UK native species and habitats across the zoo Estate.

The role involves delivering our ambitious strategic target to have 30% of our land protected and managed for UK biodiversity by 2030. You will ensure that all on-site activities are delivered in accordance with our policies and procedures, and work collaboratively with other teams to deliver on site UK biodiversity activities.

The successful candidate will have a good level of computer literacy and data management skills, and excellent inter-personal and facilitation skills. We offer a salary of £38,952.52 per annum, typically working 8am – 5pm (with 1 hour lunch), Mon-Fri, with flexibility as required, and a range of benefits, including staff pass, multiple complimentary tickets for friends and family, cycle to work scheme, healthcare plan, and pension scheme with generous employer contributions up to 9%.
