MainPower, a leading provider of electricity distribution services in North Canterbury, is seeking an experienced Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) leader to develop and implement strategies for Health, Safety, and Business Risk that align with our business strategy and commitment to community safety.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing business risk strategy that aligns with operational goals, helping us foresee and navigate potential risks. Key responsibilities include championing proactive risk management, embedding robust practices across the organisation, leading initiatives to enhance health, safety, and environmental standards, and overseeing Business Continuity and Crisis Management plans.

Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent) and extensive experience in safety and risk leadership.
  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety leader in a high-risk environment building and implementing risk strategy and frameworks.
  • Practical knowledge in business continuity, quality assurance, and compliance.
