Procurement Data Strategist

Synlait is a leading dairy nutrition company seeking an experienced Procurement Data Strategist to lead our purchasing and data team.

This role will provide strategic leadership and guidance to the purchasing coordinators and data analysts, ensuring accurate purchasing master data, driving cost efficiencies, and efficient onboarding of new suppliers.

• Provide visionary leadership to purchasing and data team
• Bring commercial acumen and strategic mindset to drive business growth
• Ensure training and support materials are current and effective
• Ensure compliance with procurement and inventory policies and procedures
• Develop key management reports to inform business decisions
• Manage material and supplier onboarding, maintaining accurate master data
• Oversee Ariba network integration for Synlait suppliers
• Provide systems support within purchasing and data function

The ideal candidate will have a strong operational background, experience in purchasing, and SAP expertise. Proven leadership skills, a proactive approach, and excellent relationship-building abilities are essential for success in this role.

To be successful in this position, you will need:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in purchasing or a related field
• Purchasing experience with demonstrable successes in achieving targets and best practices
• Dairy industry or food manufacturing experience is highly desirable
• Warehousing and Logistics experience is beneficial
• Proven leadership experience in Purchasing/Planning/Scheduling roles
