As a Strategic HR and Talent Development Professional at First Tram Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's human resources strategy to drive business growth and success. With over 20 million passenger journeys a year, London Trams has some of the busiest routes in the country, operating over 4,800 services each week across the tramway.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in HR and Training Advisor roles, showcasing proactivity, organisational skills, and getting the basics right, first time. Your key responsibilities will include advising line managers on recruitment and selection strategies to ensure all vacancies are filled promptly with quality candidates.

You will also be responsible for training hiring managers on candidate interview evaluation techniques, working with our FirstGroup colleagues to assist with and develop recruitment campaigns, and coordinating the appointment process for successful applicants. Additionally, you will monitor key recruitment metrics, such as turnover and retention rates.

In this role, you will be the first port of call for all recruitment aspects in the organisation, taking responsibility for managing employee relations and performance management. You will provide professional HR advice and support to the business, ensuring policies are consistent and HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably.

To succeed in this position, you will need strong interpersonal skills, a solid knowledge of HR systems, and experience working with IT programmes. You will also possess excellent communication and relationship building capabilities, able to design clear and fair company policies.

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum
