Strategic Business Development Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Lead Manager to join our team at E Gruppe. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving our strategic initiatives and ensuring their alignment with our long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Strategic Plans
Work closely with the Head of UK Strategy to develop and implement strategic plans that drive business growth and success.
Lead Strategic ProjectsLead or play a key role in strategic projects sponsored by the CEO and UK Board members, ensuring effective communication and implementation of strategies.
Provide Strategic GuidanceProvide expertise on strategic decision-making and energy transition topics, assisting senior stakeholders in identifying key topics, developing insights, and communicating them effectively.
Support Corporate Office ActivitiesSupport corporate office activities for the UK CEO, including writing presentations, briefing notes, and preparing for high-profile meetings.
Analyse External TrendsAnalyse external trends, economic conditions, competitor performance, and growth opportunities, particularly in untapped areas of the energy value chain.
Support M&A ActivitiesSupport M&A activities as required by the CEO, working closely with the commercial programming and UK Board members.
Manage Market Review ProcessManage the 'market review' process, working with Commercial Programming and UK Board members to ensure effective market analysis and strategy development.
Respond to InquiriesRespond to inquiries from Group Strategy, Commercial Programming, Investor Relations, and other central functions, providing timely and accurate information.
Develop Strategy SkillsContinuously develop strategy skills and foster knowledge sharing within the team, collaborating with stakeholders to drive business success.
Requirements
- Previous Experience in Strategy
Previous experience in a strategy function, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategic plans.
Proven Experience in Business DevelopmentProven experience developing business strategies with senior stakeholders, with a strong understanding of commercial, financial, and entrepreneurial acumen.
Strong Analytical and Communication SkillsExcellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, able to influence at all levels.
Leadership and Team ManagementAbility to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority, with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Business Acumen and NumeracyStrong commercial, financial, and entrepreneurial acumen, including business plan and investment case development, with a high level of numeracy and ability to deliver quality work under time constraints.
Energy Industry KnowledgeDeep knowledge of the energy industry and transition, with experience in strategy, commercial, finance, project management, policy/regulation, or energy economics.
