About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering imaginative, fun, and varied activities to ensure our residents can enjoy an environment that is motivational and fulfilling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an entertainment and activities programme that covers a wide range of pastimes, social activities, outings, and events.
  • Work closely with residents to understand their interests and preferences, and tailor activities to meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless delivery of activities and events.
  • Provide support and encouragement to residents to help them live independently and engage with their family, friends, and the local community.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with older adults and has a genuine interest in their well-being. You will need to be creative, enthusiastic, and empathetic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. While experience is not necessary, you will need to be able to drive a mini bus.
