About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering imaginative, fun, and varied activities to ensure our residents can enjoy an environment that is motivational and fulfilling.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an entertainment and activities programme that covers a wide range of pastimes, social activities, outings, and events.
  • Help residents to live as independently as possible and enhance their involvement with their family, friends, and the local community.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Provide support and encouragement to residents to participate in activities and engage with their community.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive culture within the care home.

About You:

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with older adults and has a genuine interest in their well-being. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
