We are seeking a highly skilled SENCO to support the educational journey of students with special needs at a Secondary School in Abingdon.

About the Position

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives. You will work closely with the existing SENCO and other staff members to create a supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and implement comprehensive support plans tailored to individual students' needs.
  • Provide guidance and training to teachers and teaching assistants on SEND-related matters.
  • Participate in regular reviews and updates of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with parents, carers, and external agencies.
  • Stay updated on best practices and research in SEND to inform your work.

Background and Experience: QTS and at least two years of SENCO experience. Strong track record of supporting students with SEND and managing challenging behaviours required.

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
