Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team at Henderson Scott. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees, ensuring that their desktop systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Desktop Support: Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting and resolving desktop-related issues.
  • Remote Support: Provide remote support to employees, using tools such as remote desktop software.
  • Incident Management: Manage incidents, identifying and resolving root causes of issues.
  • Problem Management: Identify and resolve recurring problems, implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Change Management: Manage changes to desktop systems, ensuring that changes are properly documented and tested.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain knowledge of desktop systems, ensuring that knowledge is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams, such as IT and Desktop Support, to ensure that desktop systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Strong Technical Skills: Strong technical skills, including knowledge of desktop systems, remote support tools, and incident management.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical employees.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with other teams, including IT and Desktop Support.
  • Knowledge Management: Ability to maintain knowledge of desktop systems, ensuring that knowledge is up-to-date and accurate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL Foundation V4: ITIL Foundation V4 certification.
  • Relevant Professional Qualifications: Relevant professional qualifications, such as CompTIA A+ or Cisco CCNA.
