Environmental Risk Manager

H9 Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Environmental Risk Manager to join their team at a state-of-the-art EfW plant in Runcorn. As a key member of the site management team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and legislative requirements, environmental permits, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the management of the company's environmental responsibilities, adhering to environmental permits and licenses
- Monitor and manage site-level compliance with relevant ISO quality and accreditations
- Provide necessary health and safety procedures for the O&M team
- Investigate and report site accidents and incidents, implementing procedural improvements
- Liaise with site management to discuss potential breaches or risks to the environment
You will work closely with various governing bodies, including the Environment Agency and Local Authorities, to ensure site compliance with industry standards and guidelines such as PRRS, LOLER, PUWER, and COSHH.
Requirements:- Degree/HND/HNC qualification in environmental science, chemistry, or a similar field
- NEBOSH/IOSH certification or proven experience in H&S management
- Experience in waste management, energy from waste, or power industry in a relevant role
