H9 Technical Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Safety and Compliance Professional to join their team at a leading EfW plant in Runcorn. As a critical member of the site management team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and legislative requirements, environmental permits, and industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage site environmental responsibilities, adhering to environmental permits and licenses
  2. Develop and implement health and safety procedures for the O&M team
  3. Conduct thorough investigations into site accidents and incidents, recommending procedural improvements
  4. Liaise with site management to identify potential breaches or risks to the environment

You will work closely with various governing bodies, including the Environment Agency and Local Authorities, to ensure site compliance with industry standards and guidelines such as PRRS, LOLER, PUWER, and COSHH.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Relevant degree/HND/HNC qualification in environmental science, chemistry, or a similar field
  • NEBOSH/IOSH certification or proven experience in H&S management
  • Experience in waste management, energy from waste, or power industry in a relevant role
