H9 Technical Recruitment is hiring a Site EHS Specialist to join their team at a cutting-edge EfW plant in Runcorn. As a key member of the site management team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and legislative requirements, environmental permits, and industry standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing site environmental responsibilities, adhering to environmental permits and licenses
  • Collaborate with the O&M team to develop and implement health and safety procedures
  • Investigate and report site accidents and incidents, recommending procedural improvements
  • Liaise with site management to discuss potential breaches or risks to the environment

You will work closely with various governing bodies, including the Environment Agency and Local Authorities, to ensure site compliance with industry standards and guidelines such as PRRS, LOLER, PUWER, and COSHH.

Requirements:
  • Relevant degree/HND/HNC qualification in environmental science, chemistry, or a similar field
  • NEBOSH/IOSH certification or proven experience in H&S management
  • Experience in waste management, energy from waste, or power industry in a relevant role
