Pathology CSU Development Officer

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will lead the delivery of education and training across the Pathology CSU, working closely with the Head of Profession, Deputy Head of Profession, and Pathology Quality Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of patient care and contribute to the success of the Pathology CSU.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of education and training programs
  • Chair the Pathology Training and Development Group
  • Contribute to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of workforce development strategies
  • Undertake training needs assessments and develop education strategies to address them
  • Work with clinical directors and heads of profession to establish and maintain databases of educational development and needs of staff

Requirements:

  • Professional registration in a relevant field
  • Recognised educational qualification
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Ability to work using own initiative and flexibility within working patterns
  • Demonstrates political astuteness, facilitation skills, and ability to analyse complex information
  • Competent/advanced presentation, written, and verbal communication skills

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
