Job Overview

The National Pathology Imaging Co-operative (NPIC) programme is seeking an experienced Research Information Systems Lead to manage the information systems relating to the Research activity of the NPIC programme. This role will be responsible for providing comprehensive management support to the Programme and across the region, ensuring that services are delivered within budget to agreed quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of technical and information staff to deliver IT and Information services.
  • Lead on the information strategy planning for the NPIC Programme, ensuring the provision of an information and analysis service to meet the specific needs of the Programme and other service users both internal and external.
  • Accountable for the effective operational management and performance of all current systems within the NPIC Programme, including PACS, synoptic reporting, internal data warehouse, and all interfaces between the various systems as well as any future developments.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or experience with evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent organisational and planning skills, and the ability to prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
  • Able to coordinate and influence the activity of others to produce work within agreed time-scales and quality standards.
Salary Range

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
