Skanska, a leading project development and construction group, is committed to building a better society. We are seeking a Construction Director to lead our Infrastructure team in Kent on a major highways project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational delivery of the project, ensuring it is completed safely, on budget, and to the required quality.

The Construction Director will provide strategic direction and leadership to the construction team, promoting a culture of uncompromising Health, Safety, and Wellbeing, while also driving progress towards reducing carbon emissions. They will be accountable for defining the organization of the construction team, setting clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability levels.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in delivering major highways schemes, preferably at Project Director level, and a strong understanding of highway construction methods and supply chain partners. They will also possess a progressive attitude towards carbon reduction, social value, stakeholder management, and inclusion and diversity.

As a member of the Strategic Leadership Team, the Construction Director will influence and champion the collaborative strategy, Vision, Values, and Behaviours of the integrated project team. They will facilitate coordination, standardization, and consistency across sections to deliver the best outcomes for the overall project.

The Construction Director will set clear targets for the construction team to measure performance and drive continuous improvement. They will regularly review performance against these targets and take necessary actions to ensure successful delivery.
