About the role
Our Highways team is seeking a skilled Project Accountant to deliver complex financial work that supports our business and the world around us.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, adhering to accounting policies and requirements.
- Understand and control costs, balance sheet, and cashflow performance.
- Act as a financial partner to leadership teams, ensuring robust financial management and reporting.
- Collaborate with Commercial teams to influence business performance and manage risks.
- Provide constructive challenge and input into project/contract review meetings.
- Prepare budgets, analyze performance against budget, and provide recommendations.
- Lead, develop, and coach individuals to build high-performing teams and create a talent pipeline.
- Manage Project Bank Account reporting to clients and internally.

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum plus a fully funded training package, worth up to £6,500 per annum.
