Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Metrology Engineer to join our team at ICS Mechanical. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in precision mechanical metrology laboratory environments, with a strong understanding of quality systems & standards (ISO 17025 / ISO 9001). A relevant academic qualification (STEM Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent) is also essential.

About the Role

This role offers a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a key member of our calibration department, you will be responsible for performing and supervising high-level calibration / repair of mechanical test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) including resource management and calibration workload signoff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and supervise high-level calibration / repair of mechanical TMDE
  • Write, review, and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets
  • Take part in UKAS (ISO 17025) audits and achieve UKAS signatory status
  • Deliver on-the-job training / experiential learning to apprentices / lesser-experienced team members
