We are seeking a skilled Pension Administrator to join our team at Lane Clark & Peacock. As a Pension Administrator, you will be responsible for managing pension schemes, processing benefit calculations, and communicating with members and third parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process benefit calculations using manual methods, proformas, and pension administration system calculation routines.
  • Work through relevant checklists and follow procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Understand and apply authorization requirements for releasing information.
  • Prepare bulk mailings of annual newsletters and pension increases.
  • Communicate effectively with members and other third parties.
  • Gain and apply knowledge of clients through day-to-day work, collaboration with colleagues and partners, and reference to the scheme's administration guide and specific notes.
  • Be aware of scheme-specific requirements and ensure compliance with LCP procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and understand preservation, statutory increases, contracting-out, and the current pensions tax regime.
  • Draft non-standard letters as required.
  • Recognize non-standard cases, such as part-timers, and demonstrate awareness of the General Data Protection Regulations.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of pension schemes and administration procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
