About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Pension Administrator Assistant to join our team at Lane Clark & Peacock. As a key member of our administration team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality pension administration services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform benefit calculations using manual methods, proformas, and pension administration system calculation routines.
- Work through checklists for individual cases and follow established procedures.
- Ensure appropriate authorisation is obtained before releasing information.
- Prepare bulk mailings of annual newsletters and pension increases.
- Communicate effectively with members and other third parties.
- Develop knowledge of clients through day-to-day work, collaboration with colleagues and partners, and reference to the scheme's administration guide and specific notes.
- Recognise scheme-specific requirements and apply them accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with LCP procedures when completing cases.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation.
- Understand preservation, statutory increases, contracting-out, and the current pensions tax regime.
- Draft non-standard letters as required.
- Identify non-standard cases, such as part-timers.
- Apply the General Data Protection Regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of pension administration principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
