About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pension Administrator Assistant to join our team at Lane Clark & Peacock. As a key member of our administration team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality pension administration services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform benefit calculations using manual methods, proformas, and pension administration system calculation routines.
  • Work through checklists for individual cases and follow established procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate authorisation is obtained before releasing information.
  • Prepare bulk mailings of annual newsletters and pension increases.
  • Communicate effectively with members and other third parties.
  • Develop knowledge of clients through day-to-day work, collaboration with colleagues and partners, and reference to the scheme's administration guide and specific notes.
  • Recognise scheme-specific requirements and apply them accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with LCP procedures when completing cases.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation.
  • Understand preservation, statutory increases, contracting-out, and the current pensions tax regime.
  • Draft non-standard letters as required.
  • Identify non-standard cases, such as part-timers.
  • Apply the General Data Protection Regulations at all times.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of pension administration principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
