Senior Psychotherapist - Young Adults Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Psychotherapist to join our team at Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults, and will be able to provide expert clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff members.

As a Senior Psychotherapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients using evidence-based therapies, developing treatment plans, and supervising junior staff members. You will also contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a specialist NHS psychoanalytic psychotherapy service that offers a range of interventions, including brief work, group therapy, and longer-term individual therapy. Our team includes child & adolescent psychotherapists, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, social workers, and trainees.

We offer a competitive salary of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.

About the role
  • Provide expert clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff members
  • Assess and treat patients using evidence-based therapies
  • Develop treatment plans and supervise junior staff members
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Degree in Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy or related field
  • Full membership/registration with the ACP
  • At least 4 years of post-qualifying experience
  • Proven clinical skills and ability to manage complex caseloads
