About the Role

The Literacy Specialist - English will play a key role in supporting students to develop their literacy skills and achieve academic success. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our academic team and make a real difference in the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English Literature and Language to students from Year 7 to A-Level
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with varying literacy abilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of all students
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure students achieve their full potential
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A degree in English or a related subject
  • A PGCE or QTS qualification
  • Experience of teaching English Literature and Language to students aged 11-18
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Highly organized and able to manage competing priorities
