Job Title: English and Literacy Curriculum Specialist

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate English and Literacy Curriculum Specialist to join our team at Protocol Education. As a specialist in curriculum development, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans and educational materials that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to create a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Organize and participate in literacy events, workshops, and activities to foster a love for reading and writing among students.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching English and literacy to students of varying abilities, including those with SEMH.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Education or related field
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment
  • Additional certification in literacy instruction

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position within a SEN school environment, requiring collaboration with students, teachers, and other staff members. The successful candidate will be required to commit to regular school hours with occasional participation in evening events or workshops.
