Senior Haematology Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Haematology Specialist to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a comprehensive range of routine and specialist haematology & transfusion analyses, as well as providing a rapid, reliable and efficient results service.
In this role, you will work independently at large, offsite, outpatient clinics providing POCT at a satellite laboratory and visit wards or clinics to perform Bleeding Times on patients.
You will also participate in the trusts annual joint review process, relevant to grade, and contribute to the implementation of services, making suggestions and input into service and policy.
We offer a competitive salary of £42,000 - £56,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including training and development opportunities.
As a Senior Haematology Specialist, you will be expected to have significant experience of modern laboratory techniques and good knowledge of current professional issues. You will also need to have a strong understanding of the importance of IQA, and external quality control systems, such as NEQAS.
