Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Assurance Engineer to join our team at Advance TRS. As a Safety Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our projects and schemes meet legislative and customer requirements for safety.

About the Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all safety assurance activities on products, systems, and projects. This will include supporting the production of safety reports and safety cases, as well as participating in periodic safety reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain Safety Assurance Activities: Ensure that all safety assurance activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  2. Support Safety Reports and Safety Cases: Assist in the production of safety reports and safety cases to ensure that projects and schemes meet legislative and customer requirements.
  3. Participate in Safety Reviews: Participate in periodic safety reviews to ensure that safety assurance activities are effective and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  4. Implement Engineering Safety Management Lifecycle: Practical implementation of an engineering safety management lifecycle for product introduction and large or complex project applications.

Requirements:

  1. Educated to HND or Equivalent: Educated to HND or equivalent in an engineering-related subject.
  2. Experience in Safety Engineering: Experience in safety engineering or safety assurance.
  3. Detailed Knowledge of Engineering Safety Management Handbook: Detailed knowledge of the engineering safety management handbook and documentation.
  4. Experience in Railway Industry: Experience in the safety regime within the railway industry.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Chartered or Incorporated Engineer: Chartered or incorporated engineer.
  2. Experience with Risk Assessments: Experience with risk assessments and the required skills.
  3. Experience with Safety or Software Auditing: Experience with safety or software auditing.
