Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the growth and development of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the manager and team in all aspects of day-to-day operations, including staff management, budgets, and ensuring quality of service meets expected care standards.
  • Encourage young people to take responsibility for their lives, depending on their age, and promote their independence and well-being.
  • Maintain a homely and friendly culture and environment in the homes.
  • Deal with challenging behaviors when needed and protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Support children and young people in the home, promote their independence, and ensure their safety.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
  • Organize and participate in activities and holidays, ensuring risk assessments have been followed.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Children's Support Worker or Team Leader in a similar social care setting or with young people.
  • Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People or equivalent.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence, due to the nature of the role, you may be required to transport the young people.
  • Children Homes Regulations and Safeguarding Knowledge.
