Lead Dietitian for Chronic Diseases

About the Role
The successful candidate will lead our Heart Failure and Cardiology Dietetic service, providing expert clinical leadership and developing strategies to improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex cases and a strong understanding of cardiovascular disease. They will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and implement best practices in dietetics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Heart Failure and Cardiology Dietetic service, developing and implementing clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes
- Provide expert clinical leadership, guiding and mentoring junior staff
- Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and implement best practices in dietetics
- Develop and deliver education and training programs for healthcare professionals and patients
About the Team
The dietetic department at St George's NHS Foundation Trust consists of over 70 dietitians, providing clinical inpatient and outpatient services to a variety of specialties. The team is committed to training dietetic students and actively participates in the training programs of clinical and non-clinical staff. There are numerous opportunities for professional and personal development. The team has a wide variety of extended skills, including indirect calorimetry, CORTRAK NJ tube insertion, and enteral tube care.
