Dietitian for Chronic Diseases Specialist

Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate will lead the Heart Failure and Cardiology Dietetic service and provide leadership for the other three Chronic diseases teams (Bariatrics, Diabetes & Renal) based at St George's Hospital in Tooting, London. The team consists of B7, B6, and B5 dietitians. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and dynamic, with excellent team-working, communication, and organisational skills.
Job Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Leading the Heart Failure and Cardiology Dietetic service
- Providing leadership for the other three Chronic diseases teams (Bariatrics, Diabetes & Renal)
- Working closely with the Consultant Dietitian & Professional Lead for Dietetics and Principal Dietetic team
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- BSc / Postgraduate diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics
- HCPC current registration
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Postgraduate training in speciality clinical area critical care/major trauma
- Membership of BDA and relevant specialist group
Skills and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise own workload and that of others
- Excellent IT skills
- Motivation and behavioural change skills
