The salary for this position is £15,625 per annum (pro-rata to hours worked), with an employer's contribution of at least 19.3% to the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our catering team as a Catering Assistant. In this role, you will work under the general direction of the cook or catering manager to prepare, cook, and serve food within our residential care home. Your duties will include basic food preparation, simple cooking, serving meals, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to relate to older people, work effectively within a team, and demonstrate initiative. You will also require membership with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act PVG scheme.

Benefits

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including access to employee wellbeing supports, occupational health & counselling, and a minimum of 25 days annual leave (increasing by one day each year up to 35 days). You will also have access to the LGPS with an employer's contribution of at least 19.3%.
