Are you a seasoned Employee Relations professional with a background in professional services? This role offers an opportunity to redefine the Employee Relations landscape within a high-performing organization.
We are collaborating with a respected client to introduce a pivotal role within their HR framework. The Employee Relations Specialist will enhance a well-established HR team, working closely with Senior HR Business Partners and HR Advisory teams. This position is designed to be influential in transforming and advancing Employee Relations practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Development: You will be responsible for enhancing the skills of HR Advisors and Managers in Employee Relations best practices. While they are adept at navigating policies, additional guidance is needed to provide practical advice in complex situations. You will have the resources to engage an external training provider and will also conduct direct coaching and support on live cases.
- Framework Implementation: Collaborating with the Risk & Compliance team, you will design a new risk management framework for Employee Relations cases. This framework will clarify accountability for case management and enhance the tracking of ER cases, enabling the identification of trends and key issues that inform the broader HR strategy.
- Operational Delivery of Complex Cases: You will lead a select number of intricate and high-risk Employee Relations cases, conducting investigations and engaging with influential stakeholders. This will allow HR Business Partners to focus on strategic initiatives that contribute to the overall success of the organization.
This role presents a unique opportunity to influence significant changes within the organization. While it is a 12 month FTC, there is potential for it to evolve into a permanent position, depending on the outcomes of the initiatives undertaken.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in managing complex and high-risk cases within a professional services context.
- Ability to engage and influence commercial stakeholders effectively.
- Experience in designing and implementing new processes focused on Employee Relations management.
- Track record of training and upskilling HR Advisors to provide pragmatic guidance.
- Capability to identify trends in Employee Relations activities and integrate findings into the broader people strategy.
- A confident and resilient expert in Employee Relations with strong technical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge existing practices and foster engagement among HR teams and the wider organization.
