Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team at Teaching Personnel, working closely with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in mainstream schools across East Devon. In this role, you will provide one-to-one and group support, helping students access the curriculum and fully participate in school life.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement tailored support plans in collaboration with class teachers and SENCos
  2. Foster the development of social, emotional, and communication skills in students
  3. Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, utilising sensory aids and structured routines

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies, such as visual supports and assistive technology (training provided)
